President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomed Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), in a courtesy call at the Study Room in Malacañan Palace.

Dr. Ghebreyesus is in the Philippines to attend the 73rd WHO Western Pacific Regional Committee Meeting (WPRCM) being held in Manila from October 24-28, 2022.

WHO Chef de Cabinet Dr. Catharina Boehme and Director of Programme Management Dr. Corinne Capuano of WHO Western Pacific Regional Office joined the WHO Director-General in the courtesy call.

On the other hand, Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Secretary Antonio Lagdameo Jr. and Department of Health (DOH) Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire accompanied President Marcos Jr.
