President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, joined by his Cabinet members, welcomed foreign dignitaries, officials of the US-Philippines Society, and local and American businessmen in a courtesy call at the Study Room in Malacañan Palace.
Leading the US-PH Society’s side were US Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim, US-PH Co-Chair Ambassador John D. Negroponte and Co-Chair Manuel V. Pangilinan, US-PH President Ambassador John F. Maisto, and US-PH Executive Director Hank Hendrickson.

Founded in May 1, 2012, the US-PH Society, with its headquarters based in Washington D.C., aims to bridge the two nations not only through trade and investments but also in tourism, history, security, education and culture, among others.
