President Benigno S. Aquino III convened with members of the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council composed of CEOs and presidents of international companies during a courtesy call in Malacañang.

According to Council President and CEO Alexander Feldman, the group discussed with President Aquino the promotion of a “two-way” trade and investment between ASEAN countries and the United States.

The callers who are involved in the sectors of energy, telecommunications, banking, insurance, food, mining and health, include ACE Chairman and CEO Evan Greenberg, Underwriters Laboratories President and CEO Keith Williams, President and CEO of AES Andres Gluski, President and CEO of General Atlantic Bill Ford, Marsh and McLennan Companies President and CEO Dan Glaser, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Mead Johnson Nutrition Charles Urban, Global Market Development Qualcomm President Peggy Johnson, Organizational Resources Rio Tinto Group Executive Hugo Bague and Ambassador John Negroponte of McLarty Associates.

The business council is part of the delegation of U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker in her three-country pivot in Asia.
