President Benigno S. Aquino III received the Lord Mayor of the City of London upon his visit in Malacanang today. Alderman David Wootton led a business mission to Manila to promote British capabilities in the areas of public-private partnership, good corporate governance, financial and legal services and inward investment opportunities.

The Lord Mayor of the City of London is the head of the City of London Corporation. He is also the Ambassador for the UK based financial and professional services industry. This task necessitates much time overseas in promoting the services of the City outside the United Kingdom.
