President Rodrigo Roa Duterte received former Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida, Chairman of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan, in a courtesy call at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo during the President’s Official Visit to Japan.
The former Foreign Minister was joined by Ambassador of Japan to the Philippines Koji Haneda; Shigeki Takizaki, Director-General, Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department; and Hirotaka Ono, Deputy Director, Second Southeast Asia Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Duterte was accompanied by Departments of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, National Security Adviser (NSA) Hermogenes Esperon, Jr., Senators Joseph Ejercito and Francis Escudero, Representatives Feliciano Belmonte Jr., Luis Villafuerte, and Harry Roque, Jr., Taguig City Mayor Maria Laarni Cayetano, and Philippine Ambassador to Japan Jose Laurel V.
