President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with the executive officials of Marubeni Corporation, a company based in Japan that is mostly involved in a broad range of sectors, including food products, textiles, mineral resources, and transportation machinery.

Marubeni Corporation currently has 137 branches and offices across the globe.

Present during the call are Shoji Kuwayama, Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Southwest Asia; Naoto Tago, President and CEO of Marubeni Philippines; Yutaka Tsubota, Executive Vice President of Marubeni Philippines; Manabu Sugawaru, Vice President of Marubeni Philippines; and Tommy Valdez, Vice President for Corporate Affairs of San Roque Power Corporation.
