President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with the executives of Scatec, a Norway-based leading renewable energy solutions provider, in a courtesy call at the Study Room in Malacañan Palace.
Scatec develops, builds, owns and operates solar, wind and hydro power plants as well as storage solutions across four (4) continents, and employs 700 personnel worldwide. The company entered the Philippine market in 2005 through a joint venture with Aboitiz Power. Today, it is the largest private hydropower company in the country with 642 megawatts (MW) in operation.
The attendees in the courtesy call included Terje Pilskog (Chief Executive Officer, Scatec), Hans Jakob Hegge (Chief Financial Officer, Scatec), Sabin Aboitiz (President and Chief Executive Officer, Aboitiz Group) and Emmanuel Rubio (President and Chief Executive Officer, Aboitiz Power Corporation).
Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Secretary Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr., Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil and Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Senior Undersecretary Elaine Masukat joined President Marcos Jr. in the event.
