President Benigno S. Aquino III welcomed Mr. Shingenobu Nagamori, President and CEO of Nidec Corporation, in a courtesy call in Malacañang.

Mr. Nagamori was accompanied by Nidec Corp. First Vice President Toshihiko Miyabe, Nidec Philippines Corp. President Takao Deno, and Nidec Philippines Corp. Vice President Minoru Yoshida.

Also present in the call were Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo and Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director-General Lilia de Lima.

Nidec started its business in a small prefabricated shed with only four employees. Now, it is one of the world’s leading comprehensive motor manufacturer. Its products are used in a wide range of fields and devices, including information and telecommunications equipment, office equipment, home appliances, automobiles, industrial equipment and environmental energy.
