President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomed Mr. Dato Sri Tahir, Founder of the Mayapada Group, in a courtesy call at the Study Room in Malacañan Palace.

Named from the Sanskrit word ‘Mayapada’ which means ‘universe’, the Mayapada Group was founded by Dr. Tahir in Indonesia more than 25 years ago. Its business began with Bank Mayapada and local partner Duty Free Shopper (DFS) Indonesia, a multinational LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton) subsidiary engaged in providing luxury goods in the late 1980s.
