President Benigno S. Aquino III welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in a courtesy call at the Music Room of Malacañan Palace.
Prince Alwaleed is the grandson of King Abdulaziz Alsaud who was the founder and first ruler of Saudi Arabia, and Riad El Solh who was the first Prime Minister of Lebanon.
A visionary investor, he is behind one of the world’s most successful international holdings companies, Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), named by Forbes magazine as one of the smartest and most creative investors in the world.
He is also a global philanthropist who founded the Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundations.
The Saudi Arabian royal was accompanied in the courtesy call by H.E. Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Bussairy (Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Philippines), Hassna Alturki (Executive Manager for International Relations Private Office of His Royal Highness), Fahad Al Otaibi (Senior Executive Assistant to His Royal Highness), and Hani Agha (Head of Travel and External Affairs).
On the other hand, President Aquino was joined by Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Adrian Cristobal, Jr., Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Jose Rene Almendras, and DFA Office of Middle East and African Affairs Assistant Secretary Hjayceelyn Quintana.
