President Benigno S. Aquino III met with the European Union (EU) Commissioner for International Cooperation Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response Kristalina Georgieva in a courtesy call held in the Diamond Hotel, Manila.

Comm. Georgiva is in the country to lead the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Manila Conference in forging a new disaster risk reduction and management framework calling it the ‘Tacloban Declaration’ that will replace the Hyogo Framework Action (HFA) that will expire in 2015.
