U.S. Daly City Mayor Raymond Buenaventura paid a courtesy call to President Benigno S. Aquino III in Malacañang.

He was accompanied by Philippine Consul General Marciano Paynor Jr., Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Laura del Rosario, Assistant Secretary Carlos Sorreta and DFA Chief Coordinator Cecilia Rebong during the call.

Mayor Buenaventura oversees the largest city in San Mateo County, California. He was Vice Mayor and Council Member before becoming Mayor in December 2012. He is an experienced trial lawyer and criminal law specialist. He got his bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies at the University of California in Berkeley and law degree at Whittier Law School.
