President Benigno S. Aquino III received the Congressional Delegation from the United States of America composed of Erik Paulsen, John Kline, Robert Scott and Tom Price in a courtesy call at Malacañan Palace. The delegation was accompanied by Ambassador Philip Goldberg, the U.S. envoy to the country.

Present from the Philippine side were Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Jose Rene Almendras and Undersecretary Laura Del Rosario, Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, Dan Benishek of the Republican-Michigan National Resources Committee, and Ruben Hinojosa of the Democrat-Texas Education and Workforce Committee.
