Takeshi Kunibe, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, paid a courtesy call to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo.

The President welcomed Kunibe and the other officials of the banking company, including its Manila branch’s General Manager, Yukio Asahina.

Sumitomo Mitsui was established in April 2001 through the merger of The Sakura Bank, Ltd. and The Sumitomo Bank, Ltd. As of March this year, it has a total of 440 branches in Japan and 17 offices overseas.
