Final coordination and preparation among the advance party of the Philippine delegation are underway for the participation of President Benigno S. Aquino III at the Bali Democracy Forum VII on October 10, 2014 in Indonesia. The forum is said to be one of the legacies of Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudyohono as he leaves office this month. This is the first forum to be attended by President Aquino who is the son of two democracy icons in the Philippines.

President Aquino is also set to receive the “Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipurna” or the “Star of The Republic of Indonesia,” the highest award given by the said country to a person who rendered extraordinary service to the integrity, viability and greatness of Indonesia.
