President Rodrigo Roa Duterte conferred the Presidential Medal of Merit to Mr. Ramon Orlina in a ceremony at the Reception Hall in Malacañan Palace.

Mr. Orlina is a contemporary Filipino glass sculptor whose works receive recognition not only in the country, but also across the globe.

The Presidential Medal of Merit by the Chief Executive is among the highest Presidential awards given to individuals for gaining prestige for the country in the fields of literature, the sciences, the arts, entertainment, other civilian areas of endeavor that promote national pride and artistic excellence, among others.
