One of the main features in Millennium Park which is located in downtown Chicago, the Cloud Gate or the ‘Bean’, as it is also famous for, is a stainless steel construction of 168 plates seamlessly welded together.

Measuring 10 meters high and 20 meters wide (33 x 66 feet), people can walk through the 3.7 meter high central arch and look up to the large ‘dent’ to see numerous distorted reflections of themselves and the Michigan Avenue skyline.

Millennium Park was first planned in 1997 to create a new parkland in Grant Park and transform unsightly railroad tracks and parking lots. (http://chicagotraveler.com & http://aviewoncities.com)
