President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the distribution of various certificates and awards to the graduates of the Motorcycle Riding Course (MCRC) and Motorcycle Riding Safety Training (MRST) at the Rancho Palos Verdes in Davao City.
The graduates under the MCRC Class 05, 06, 07-2018 Region XI and the MRST Class 03-2018 came from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Davao City central 911, and local civilians.
During the course trainings, the participants acquired full understanding of driver limitations, vehicle characteristics, and environmental conditions, and how these affect driving safety. The trainings also dealt on the development and enhancement of skills on scientific motorcycle riding techniques, knowledge on VIP escort duties, and traffic law enforcement activities.
The MCRC and MRST trainings were conducted by the Regional Highway Patrol Unit XI (RHPU XI) in coordination with the PNP’s Regional Police Office XI.
In his speech, President Duterte commended the graduates for their commitment and dedication to finish the training programs on proper driving techniques and road safety.
“I also acknowledge the PNP Police Security and Protection Group, and the PNP Highway Patrol Group for being the embodiment of the administration’s thrust in championing the importance of local law enforcement and safe motorcycle riding,” he said.
“Your dedication to foster greater awareness on road and traffic issues are indeed noteworthy. I therefore thank you for conducting capacity building initiatives on safe, proper motorcycle,” the President added.
