Also known as Pasar Seni, the Central Market is one of Kuala Lumpur’s most visited landmark. Classified as a heritage site by the National Heritage Department, it was built in 1928 as a simple wet market before its transformation as a handicrafts outlet in the 1980’s. Most of the merchandise that are sold here are goods like batik, embroidery, carvings, souvenirs, and sculptures.
