The CCTV Headquarters serves as the main station of the China Central Television (CCTV). The structure won as the 2013 Best Tall Building Worldwide from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.

The building is not the usual traditional tower; it has a loop of six horizontal and vertical floor spaces that create an irregular grid on the building’s façade, with its center or middle being open. Because of its unusual shape, the Chinese locals often refer to it as “big pants”.
