“Maganda ang ating performance ngayon dahil mabilis ang ating progreso. Maliwanag na tama ang ating ginagawa, tama ang ating mga strategy, tama ang ating pag-apply ng NTF-ELCAC, ngunit patuloy pa rin ang militay operations,” said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as he held a talk to troops with the Philippine Army’s (PA) 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) at Camp General Macario Peralta Jr. in Jamindan, Capiz.

The Commander-in-Chief lauded the 3ID for their unwavering dedication in fulfilling their sworn duties and responsibilities to the country, particularly in countering insurgencies. “We must continue to do what we have been doing because it is very clear that it is effective and it is successful. Kaya’t we have to congratulate not only the commanders but also the troops that have been actively pursuing this strategy for the country,” he stated.

In the situation briefing, Major General Marion Sison, Commander of the 3ID, provided the President with an overview of the overall peace situation in the area, including ongoing operations and the accomplishments of the Battalion. The President also inspected the high-powered firearms surrendered by rebel returnees to the PA.

“Hinihintay ko ang imbitasyon ninyo na makabalik ako dito sa 3ID para ideklara ang area na ito, insurgent-free…. Go ahead, keep up the good work, keep working, we will get there in the end. Well done to all of you, congratulations,” said the Commander-in-Chief, concluding his message.

Prior to his camp visit, the President led the distribution of smuggled rice sacks to the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and other recipients of various government assistance in Roxas City.
