The Board Members of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) paid a courtesy call on President Benigno S. Aquino III in relation to the ongoing PATA Travel Mart (Sept. 25-28) and PATA Executive Board meeting to be held in Manila on Sept. 28-30, 2012. The Philippines was chosen as the official organizing committee after its successful hosting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors’ Meeting last 2-5 May 2012, a clear indication that the Philippines is an ideal site for international events.

Since 1951, PATA has been the leading voice and authority on travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. The Association provides leadership and counsel on an individual and collective basis to over 80 government, state and city tourism bodies, nearly 50 international airlines, airports and cruise lines, and hundreds of travel industry companies across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
