President Benigno S. Aquino III met the executive managers of the SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) Group led by President and CEO William Tan Seng Koon on the last day of his working visit in Singapore.
According to President and CEO William Tan, they want to thank President Aquino for allowing them to engage in business in the Philippines with huge potential growth and that they are happy with the work they are doing in the country.
Executive Vice President Png Kim Chiang, SVP for Aircraft and Component Services Ivan Neo and Vice President Gamal Angullia accompanied Mr. William Tan during the business meeting.
SIAEC started in 2005, and four years after, they have expanded their operations with an additional investment of 25 million dollars. Aside from their plans to build two more hangars in the next years to come, the group is finishing their third hangar in Clark, Pampanga that is worth to be around 21 million dollars.
The SIAEC Group provides extensive maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of aircraft to more than 80 international airlines worldwide. SIA Engineering (Philippines) Corporation is a new state-of-the-art MRO facility located in the vicinity of Clark’s Diosdado Macapagal International Airport. It is within a 15-minute flight time from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport and within four flight hours to major North Asian markets including China, Korea, Japan and Hong Kong.
The suite of capabilities include aircraft certification and scheduled heavy maintenance checks, airframe structural inspections, repairs, modifications, paint-stripping, painting of aircraft exteriors and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) checks.
