President Benigno S. Aquino III held a business meeting with Tadashi Yanai, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Fast Retailing Company, Limited at the Imperial Hotel in Japan.

Known for their retail brand UNIQLO (locally known as Kabushiki-Gaisha Yunikuro), it is Japan’s largest apparel retail chain with 1,400 stores in 16 markets worldwide. It holds 6.5% share of the ¥10.7 trillion Japanese apparel market with an annual net sale of over ¥715.6 billion.

UNIQLO first opened its store in the Philippines on 15 June 2012 at the SM Mall of Asia.
