To wrap his business meetings with top Spanish corporations, President Benigno S. Aquino III met with Indra Sistemas, a parent company of Indra Philippines which has been operating in the Philippines for the past 19 years.

Indra provides services in industries like utilities and telecommunications, public administration, and financial services. It plans to intensify its software solutions factory to be the main production center for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region which will likewise increase the number of its employees to more than 2,000 in the next four years.

Some of the projects of Indra in the Philippines are the implementation of a global health system at the Makati Medical Center (MMC), the implementation of a data warehouse for Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the provision of IT outsourcing services to Meralco, Cepalco and Energy Development Corporation.

One of the completed projects of Indra is the modernization study of the department of justice administration of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
