Following his meeting with Farm Fresh Milk SDN Berhad, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received the executives of Capital A Berhad for another round of business engagement in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Formerly known as AirAsia Group Berhad, the Capital A is a multi-national airline group headquartered in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. It announced its name change in January last year, reflecting its new core business strategy as an investment holding company with a portfolio of synergistic travel and lifestyle businesses.

More than just an airline, it is rapidly transforming the AirAsia brand by leveraging data and technology to deliver the best value at the lowest cost. Capital A also operates a network of low-cost carriers including AirAsia, AirAsia India, Philippines AirAsia, Indonesia AirAsia and Thai AirAsia.

Capital A Berhad Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tan Sri Anthony Francis Fernandes discussed its expansion plans in the Philippines in aviation, digital services (including travel, ride-hailing, food delivery and e-commerce) and logistics services.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual shared that the said company has partnered with the DTI’s ‘Go Lokal’ program and is set to launch a joint undertaking in the fourth quarter of this year that will greatly benefit Filipino micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
