In his speech, President Aquino exclaimed that 46,624 public schools all over the country undergone minor repairs and cleaning of classrooms in preparation for the start of the school year. He thanked the school communities, parents, government offices and the armed forces as well as private utility companies on their voluntary effort and support on the project.

The President was joined by Education Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General Emmanuel Villanueva, Marikina Mayor Del de Guzman and other city officials.
