President Benigno S. Aquino III, with members of his Cabinet, led the relief operations in Paombong, Bulacan.

Around 500 families seeking temporary shelter in the municipal hall of Paombong were given DSWD food packs containing rice, noodles and canned goods like sardines and corned beef.

In his message, the President assured the people that the government has the capacity to support their needs especially now with everyone contributing and taking the initiatives like the private sector and the local government units.

Paombong, a 3rd class municipality in Bulacan, was one of the areas in the province severely hit by floods that recently inundated Metro Manila and Central Luzon.

All 14 barangays in Paombong were affected by the floods, making more than a thousand families seek refuge to the 26 evacuation centers in the area.
