President Benigno S. Aquino III met with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda on the sidelines of the 9th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 9) held at the National Convention Centre in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

Prime Minister Noda relayed his message of continuing to work with President Aquino towards building a stronger relationship with the Philippines.

For his part, the President expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister as Japan continues to be a long-time strategic and valuable partner of the Philippines thru the Official Development Assistance (ODA).
