After the official welcome ceremony, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte held a bilateral meeting with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang-Di Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, at the President’s Hall in Malacañan Palace.
President Duterte and Sultan Bolkiah recently participated in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations – Republic of Korea (ASEAN-ROK) Commemorative Summit held in Busan, South Korea.
