President Benigno S. Aquino III’s Participation
at the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit 2014

Joining other Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) leaders and Republic of Korea (ROK) President Park Geun-hye, President Benigno S. Aquino III participates at the ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) in the city of Busan.

Aside from having a dialogue with the participating leaders, President Aquino will hold a bilateral meeting with President Park.

With the theme, “Building Trust, Bringing Happiness,” the meeting highlights the 25th anniversary of South Korea’s relations with ASEAN which has developed rapidly since the establishment of their dialogue relations in 1989. Aside from being South Korea’s second largest trading partner, the ASEAN region has become its important ally on the socio-cultural level.
