President Benigno S. Aquino III arrived at the Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, D.C. onboard Philippine Airlines flight PR001 at 8:23 pm (Washington Time) after his succesful trip in the United Kingdom.

President Aquino is in the United States of America to embark on a four-day working visit that aims to further bilateral cooperation between the two ally nations and discuss the close strategic, economic and people to people ties between the two countries.

His visit was upon the personal invitations of US President Barack Obama and Department State Secretary Hilary Clinton made last year.

During his arrival, the President was welcomed by Ambassador Capricia Penavic Marshall, Chief Protocol of the US Department State, Amabassador Jose L. Cuisia, and Brigadier General Cesar Yano, Defense and Armed Forces Attaché. He was also greeted by the Filipino community whom he gladly received before leaving for his hotel.
