President Benigno S. Aquino III arrives in Masbate City via a C130 flight from Villamor Airbase to check on the search and rescue efforts for Interior and Local Government Sec. Jessie Robredo and company. The four-seater Piper Seneca plane crashed near Masbate last night while the group is on its way to Naga, Robredo’s hometown.

Joining the President are Transportation and Communications Sec. Mar Roxas, Budget Sec. Butch Abad, Defense Sec. Voltaire Gazmin, AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Jessie Dellosa, Coast Guard Commandant Vice Admiral Edmund Tan, Cavite Rep. Jun Abaya, and Manila International Airport General Manager Jose Angel Honrado, among others.
