A day after playing host to the successful APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in the Philippines, President Benigno S. Aquino III arrived in Kuala Lumpur at 7:41 pm (Manila and Kuala Lumpur time) to participate in the 27th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits from 21-22 November 2015.

The President was welcomed at the airport by Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia Jose Eduardo Malaya III and Defense and Armed Forces Attache Colonel Delfin Bacon.

From the Malaysian side, he was greeted by Transportation Minister Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Chief of Protocol Dato’ Kamilan Maksom.

President Aquino was accompanied by his Cabinet members namely, Finance (DOF) Secretary Cesar Purisima, Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Gregory Domingo, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Director-General and Socio-Economic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio Coloma, Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Secretary Julia Andrea Abad, Cabinet Secretary Jose Rene Almendras, and Foreign Affairs (DFA) ASEAN Director-General Luis Cruz.
