Kalayaan Grounds and Malacañan Palace

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received Prime Minister Petr Fiala of the Czech Republic and accorded the visiting leader with arrival honors in an official welcome ceremony held at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang.

The two leaders proceeded to the Malacañan Palace for the signing of the guest book then held a bilateral meeting with their respective delegations.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the visit highlights an important milestone in relations between the Philippines and the Czech Republic as the two nations will commemorate the establishment of diplomatic relations this October 5th.

Prime Minister Fiala is the first Head of Government from Europe who paid an official visit to the country since President Marcos Jr. assumed the Presidency. He is on a ten-day business trip to Asia, with the Philippines as his first stop.
