President Benigno S. Aquino III hosted a dialogue with members of the APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) Business Advisory Council or ABAC at the Malacañan Palace.

Different issues on national level were discussed by the President during the question and answer session. Some of the topics raised centered on the government’s stance on areas concerning trade and services, infrastructure development, food security, small-medium-enterprise, anti-corruption agenda and economic programs, and ‘liveable’ cities –as a new added priority to be discussed under the framework for 2013 APEC Summit to be held in Bali, Indonesia.

Joining the President at his side were Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima and Secretary to the Cabinet Jose Rene Almendras.
