President Rodrigo Roa Duterte conducts an aerial inspection of several areas that have been badly affected by the onslaught of Typhoon ‘Ulysses’ (international name: ‘Vamco’) that included Malabon City, Marikina City, areas in Rizal and nearby provinces on November 12, 2020.

In his remarks during the Plenary Session of the 37th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, President Duterte reiterated that the calamities experienced by the Philippines in the past weeks is a reminder of the urgency of collective actions to combat the effects of climate change.

He underscored the further enhancement of cooperation in the area of disaster risk reduction management among the ASEAN Member States to reinforce the capacities both at the national and regional levels.
