Katherine Mansfield’s Birthplace

Katherine Mansfield is a world-known modernist writer who was born in Wellington, New Zealand on October 14, 1888. She was admired all over the globe because of her authored non-fiction books like The Garden Party, The Daughters of the Late Colonel and The Fly.

Her birthplace in Wellington was refurbished and converted into a museum which replicates the same interior design of Katherine’s house. The public is able to experience the childhood memories of a great New Zealander writer through the house museum.
