Charito is a Japan-based Filipina and jazz superstar who is now considered as one of the most prominent singers in her genre.

Her profession began when she joined a singing contest cum audition conducted by the Hotel, Restaurant and Bar Association of Japan while she was still a college student. After winning the championship title, she then formed her own groups that performed in prestigious hotels in Japan. She began her international career after the release of her first album entitled “The Girl” by the Nippon Crown. She was the first foreign artist to be part of a leading Japanese record label.

Charito had numerous jazz concerts and had the opportunity to perform together with the world’s top musicians. Her recent charity show was conducted for the benefit of the typhoon Yolanda victims in the Philippines.
