Preparations are in full swing as Brunei Darussalam hosts the 23rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits from 9-10 October 2013. Welcome signages greet the Heads of State/Government and the delegates upon stepping out of the Brunei International Airport and flags of all ASEAN Member States as well as the Dialogue Partners are displayed along the major thoroughfares of the capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Likewise, preparations are almost complete at the International Convention Centre (ICC) where the summits, meetings and official events will be held. This will also serve as the International Media Center (IMC). As the largest meeting venue in Brunei, it has the state-of-the-art technology making it an excellent venue for big events. The halls and meeting rooms are provided with various kinds of facilities meeting the demands for conferences and exhibitions. The complex is nestled on a 20-hectare land area which is less than five minutes drive from the international airport, a few minutes walk to the Bolkiah National Stadium and five minutes drive from the capital city’s commercial center.
