President Rodrigo Roa Duterte embarks on a three-day visit to Singapore to participate in the 33rd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits from November 13-15, 2018.

The President is joining his fellow ASEAN Leaders and Heads of State/Government from ASEAN Dialogue Partners that include Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Russia, and the United States of America.

During the meetings, the ASEAN Leaders are expected to discuss matters on infrastructure development, economic integration, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), connectivity, illegal drugs, and human trafficking, among others.

Likewise, the regional bloc meeting shall hold the second summit on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). RCEP is a proposed free trade agreement for the ASEAN Member Countries.
