“It is not just the number of years that we must count and be happy for. Instead, we must also celebrate the efforts of the people, from our officials to the citizens, in achieving a single purpose and that is progress,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. remarked as he recognized the efforts of the Provincial Government of Davao Del Sur towards attaining a peaceful and progressing Province that continues to benefit its citizens.

The President made these remarks when he joined the festivities of the 56th Araw ng Davao Del Sur in Digos City, where he cited the hard work of local leaders in maintaining stability across the Province anchored in the Administration’s eight-point socioeconomic agenda.

“With the local government focusing on all aspects of daily living that we have identified in the national agenda, we can look forward to a boost in local businesses, in improving transactions and an overall better quality of life,” President Marcos Jr. said.

He acknowledged the endeavors of the Province in battling insurgency, strengthening of its healthcare system, resiliency during the COVID-19 pandemic, responses to natural disasters and the ongoing digitalization and streamlining of its government processes.

The Chief Executive also conveyed his gratitude to the people of Davao Del Sur for their constant support, vowing that the Administration will fully support the Province in its initiatives.

“Since the beginning of my candidacy, unity has been a constant challenge of the nation. So I call on you, let us join to make the Province a beacon of progress for Mindanao and for the rest of the nation,” President Marcos Jr. stated.
