President Benigno S. Aquino III commended and thanked the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) for working together with the government in fulfilling its agenda on jobs and skills matching, as well as jobs creation programs during its 40th Anniversary and PRC Week held at the Manila Hotel.
President Aquino saluted the commission for its Career Guidance and Advocacy program which aims to guide and educate the youth about the field and areas that they would like to practice after graduating from college, and said that the PRC’s role and responsibility are very significant in strengthening the skills and ability of Filipino professionals.
“Maliwanag ang batayan ng maayos na serbisyo: walang pabor at under-the-table, hindi na puwede ang puwede na… Sa mahusay na serbisyo ng PRC, tumataas din ang serbisyong iniaalay ng ating mga propesyunal para sa ating mga kababayan,” he added.
The observance of PRC’s ruby anniversary also marks the PRC Week with the theme “PRC CARES (Career Advocacy, Recognition, Education and Social Protection) for Nation-Building and Global Competitiveness.” It aims to facilitate employment generation, manpower development and social protection in the professional sector.
