After almost a week of attending the Philippine Military Academy Graduation, President Benigno S. Aquino III graced the 33rd Commencement Exercises of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of Sinag-Tala 2012 in Camp General Mariano Castañeda, Silang, Cavite.
The President encouraged the 160 male and 60 female graduates to always do what is right, to prioritize the welfare of others and to seize every moment in serving the people and country. He expressed his trust and confidence that the new policemen, warden and firemen will perform their duty with honor and dignity.
President Aquino ensured that with his administration, the new members of the Philippine National Police will enter an honoured and venerable police system. “Sa inyong pagtatapos, papasok kayo sa isang sistemang tinitingala at hindi pinagbubulungan dahil sa katiwalian, tangan na ninyo ang pambihirang oportunidad na makiisa sa pagtahak sa tuwid na landas,” he said.
He further pronounced the programs and projects lined up for the police force like the Phase 2 of the AFP-PNP Housing project, where the members of the Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Bureau of Corrections, will be included as grantees. He also mentioned the awarding of Personal Protective Equipment for BFP, the procurement of additional firearms and the ongoing trainings for the entire PNP.
The Commander-in-Chief was joined by Vice President Jejomar Binay, Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo, PNP Chief Police Director General Nicanor Bartolome, BJMP Chief JDir. Rosendo Dial and BFP-OIC FCSupt Samuel Perez.
