NAIA Terminal 3, Pasay City

In celebration of the 30th death anniversary of former senator and opposition leader Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr., the entire nation today commemorates the life of an icon whose courage and determination caused the end of a dictatorship.

Three years ago, when the bust of the late senator was installed at the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, wreath-laying ceremonies had been held in honor of his heroic deeds and undying legacy. For this year’s commemoration, EDSA People Power Commission (EPPC) Chairman Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr collaborated with Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Angel Honrado and former press undersectrary Deedee Siytangco to reunite the “old guards” of the late Senator Ninoy: the Cory Veterans, the Chino Roces Foundation, MABINI Lawyers and other groups who stood with the senator in his battle against the dictatorship.

The event was joined by Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV as he gave his short remarks in behalf of the Aquino family.
