Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teodoro Locson, Jr. poses with other Foreign Ministers in a photo opportunity during the Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) for the 22nd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Coordinating Council (ACC) at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore on November 13, 2018.

The ACC Meeting serves as a preparation for the 33rd ASEAN Summit and other related summits. During the meeting, the leaders are set to finalize the agenda and the outcome documents, as well as the implementation of significant decisions during the 32nd ASEAN Summit.

Likewise, Secretary Locsin and other Foreign Ministers witness the launching of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025 Deliverables and the ASEAN Communication Master Plan (ACMP).

The MPAC 2025 focuses on three main priorities of the ASEAN community namely, “1) Establishing a priority list of potential ASEAN infrastructure projects; 2) strategies to advance sustainable urbanization in ASEAN; and 3) review of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in digital economy.”

The ACMP, on the other hand, provides an effective and fact-based communication framework to communicate the vision of the ASEAN Community to its Member States and stakeholders.
