Heroes Hall, Malacanan Palace

Malacañan Palace hosted the Gawad CES (Career Executive Service) awarding ceremony at the Heroes Hall to honor the exemplary performance and leadership of government officials from across the nation.

Five government officials were awarded this year. The ceremony was led by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, Jr. together with several Cabinet secretaries such as DSWD Secretary Dinky Soliman, DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro and PCOO Secretary Sonny Coloma.

Joining the elite roster of Gawad CES winners are DSWD Undersecretary Alicia D. Bala, DTI-Kalinga Provincial Director Grace F. Baluyan, DSWD-Region II Regional Director Arnel B. Garcia, DOST Region IX Regional Director Brenda N. Manzano, and DepEd-Dumaguete City Division Superintendent Ramir B. Uytico. The awardees received a plaque of recognition, a medal and a P100,000 cash.

The Gawad CES is a Presidential award that recognizes members in the Career Executive Service (CES) for significant contributions in the areas of innovation, information and communications technology, social services, administrative reforms and public policy. It was established on March 28, 2008.
