President Rodrigo Roa Duterte graced the commemoration of the 18th founding anniversary of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) held in Malacañang.

In his speech, President Duterte discussed the country’s problems on drugs, corruption and criminality, and explained the negative effects of illegal drugs to the users. He said that he will not let the criminals destroy the future of the next generations and stressed that there will be no corruption under his leadership.

President Duterte also defended the policemen and soldiers, and assured them that they will not be imprisoned as long as they perform their duties.

During the event, the President led the induction of the VACC Board of Trustees, and the awarding of plaques and certificates to VACC major awardees as pillars of the criminal justice system.

VACC is a non-profit organization that advocates to fight crime and corruption in the country. It helps the victims of various crimes by providing paralegal counseling.
