President Benigno S. Aquino III graced the Philippine Economic Zone Authority’s (PEZA) 17th Anniversary celebration at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

Led by President Aquino and PEZA Director General Lilia De Lima, 25 outstanding investors were recognized for showing exemplary performance under the categories of Outstanding Exporters, Outstanding Employers, Outstanding Community Projects, Outstanding Environmental Performances,Hall of Fame Awards and for the first time the Billionaires Award and the PEZA Golden Achievement Award.

In his message, the President expressed his heartfelt congratulations to PEZA for their great effort that led to PEZA’s generation of a total 465 billion pesos in investments, adding his special thanks to the leadership of their Director General, Atty. Lilia de Lima. He also extended his gratitude to the investors for believing in the country’s business potential and encouraged them to expand their business operations. The President also assured investors that the government is taking every measure to meet the their expectations.
