“The insights that you share in this forum will be helpful in opening new economic opportunities, revitalizing the sectors that have been most affected by the pandemic and certainly the challenges that came after,” said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as he expressed gratitude to the Joint Foreign Chambers (JFC) of the Philippines during the 11th Arangkada Philippines Forum 2022 at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
Launched in 2010, the Arangkada Philippines is a major advocacy of the JFC to increase investment and employment in the Philippines. Today’s forum is an annual event where business leaders and public officials convened to share ideas on improving the nation’s business and investment climate.
In his keynote address, the Chief Executive shared that the country is on track to maintain its strong economic performance and achieve the government’s growth target of 6.5 to 7.5 percent for 2022.
He recognized the JFC’s critical role as an active partner in promoting investment opportunities and sought for its continued support in helping boost the country’s investment competitiveness and liberalization of foreign investments.
“Working as one, let us become instruments in establishing a more developed, inclusive,
and sustainable society for the benefit of the present and succeeding generations to come,” President Marcos Jr. conveyed.
The theme for this year’s gathering is ‘Reform, Rebuild, Recover’ that aims to shed light on how policy reforms can accelerate and sustain economic recovery. Discussions also touched on consequent legislative priorities and policy recommendations in helping rebuild sectors most affected by the pandemic.
